edindies — gamedev co-working in Levels (17 Oct)

Edindies is Edinburgh's indie game development community, meeting every Saturday afternoon at LEVELS cafe and lounge on Holyrood Road for co-working, playtesting and conversation. There is no programme and no speakers. People bring whatever they are building — a prototype, a build that needs fresh eyes, art or audio work — and sit with others doing the same from 13:00. Free to attend, drop in and drop out. Playtesting is the informal centre of it: getting a stranger's hands on your game is the fastest feedback a solo developer can get. Why go: Scotland's games cluster is one of the densest in the UK and almost all of its indie layer is solo or two-person studios, so a weekly room with other developers in it does real work. Best for indie game developers at any stage, and for artists, writers and composers looking for teams to join.
